Erdem X H&M Landing 2nd November…

H&M is coming home this winter, with its new collaboration with British designer Erdem set to be released on 2nd November 9am. Erdem might not be as known to you, as H&M’s previous partners ‘Kenzo’ or ‘Karl Lagerfeld” as he’s previously only ever done womenswear, so its a perfect opportunity to grab a piece of record breaking fashion with Erdem’s very first menswear line, just in time for your BF this christmas.

It will be H&M’s 17th designer collaboration, with this year set to be soft, floral, elegant period designs. With Erdem taking influence from his teen memories “So much of the collection was actually quite personal and i found myself reflecting how we used to dress throughout high school”, so this release will not only make you a limited edition fashion owner, but will dress you in youth.

Erdem has also stated his sister was his main muse for this epic Erdem X H&M release, from her “Big Norwegian jumpers my sister used to wear with a tea dress and army boots” The perfect chic combo for this winter…Get ready girls they’re going to sell fast !

And its not just the girls, guys your in this too, with Erdem masterminding his very first mens line its going to be epic! Erdem told the fashion world “Tearing apart each of its components and putting them back together into a complete and timeless wardrobe. Yet it’s still so true to what I do in womenswear. Its contrast between the utilitarian and romantic is what I think I enjoy about it most.”

What I see in Fashion

I know I write a lot of clothing comparisons from luxury clothes to high street brands, so I wanted to do something a little different. ‘What I see in Fashion’ – (soz Brooklyn)

Shopping is any girls love affair, online or in store it’s the feeling, the power of being able to transform yourself into a magazine inspired world. Where one swipe of a card and you can walk away with Italian leather, or cashmere jumpers, so soft you can’t leave until your clutching the glossy bags in your hand. But once the warm glow of the stores are behind you, the vision disappears, and the vivid images of you taking on the world through your luxury purchase disintegrates. Into a overly priced bland jumper- soft, goodness yes. But visionary, no. To be Fashion, you must control the instincts of human comforts in clothing, you have to see fashion as a possession, a beautiful individual design that will make you, you. Its got to be a raw passion not a comfort blanket. That expresses your individuality, not uniformed fashion where your all pushed into dressing alike.

When you next open a magazine, be inspired by the beauty of fabrics and craftsmanship, take in the styles and bold expressions the catwalks create. So when your in the store where beauty is all around you, but not yet on you, your persuaded to remain safe and shop for your comfort zone, not your personality. The store should be viewed as the library of clothing, only in fashion books are always judged by the cover –

How to shop the sales like a Diva…

1.Research the shops

On the day of the sales, you most likely not have time to look around different shops, for the best price, so look online the night before so you know where the deals are. This will be more important if your after a particular designer piece as they are often in multiple outlets.

Sign up to your favorite shops mailing lists as they might include hints of whats going to be in the sale, & you will be  in the know of when the sales are coming first. Also create accounts for your favourite shops, so you can checkout online faster to place your order, as some more popular shops don’t save your items until you’ve payed for them.

2. Look through your wardrobe

This is very important for successful shopping, ask your self just two questions when clearing your wardrobe; What do I need ? & What do I want ?

This will make your investments have much greater use, as you will be buying what you lack. Meaning next week when you’ve spent all your money you don’t find yourself with 15 pairs of shoes and no tops.

3. Does it fit

Don’t fall into the category of buying something a size to big because you love it, Only buy what fits your body perfectly. (this doesn’t mean it has to be skin tight) Try on your favourite items before the sale season, to perfect your size and you will be much more likely to buy something in the sale that you love and wear all the time, Just make a note of the size and colour.

4. Only buy what you love

Its easy to see everything as a bargain when sales shopping, and make out that your actually saving money. Wrong. Sales shopping is when you’re more likely to buy because its on sale, rather than because you love it. Therefore even though the items are discounted, its not a bargain if your only going to wear it once. You have to love what you buy for it to be a bargain.

5. The question for every purchase

When your in a crowded store its easy to come out with lots of different items that don’t work together. And thats not successful shopping, it’s not how much you buy, but what it goes with. How many outfits you can create.

So before grabbing everything ask yourself…What 3 pieces of clothing would I wear it with, and is it my style?

 6. Up style

The sales are the perfect time to be able to buy items you would never normally buy, so use this time to but statement designer pieces that would add to your wardrobe.  You don’t want to just buy more of what you already have, so look for items which would update your wardrobe, sales isn’t a time for bulk buying. Use it to find unique designer discounts too, which are normally much more expensive.

7. Style it classic

Don’t buy the trends that are going out of style, during the sales you want to keep it simple and classic, to your style, so you will be able to wear it even when the trends change. Stick to your style, fashion can only look good if it fits into your style and body shape. You need to buy the items that add to you, not because it’s trending.

8. Don’t be late

Weather your online or instore, the most popular & most discounted will sell out very quickly. Faster online then instore, popular online items can sell out it the first 15 minuets of the sale launching. Large popular brands like Zara close their store a couple of hours before launching the sale to maximise the site capacity. This will mean there are more purchasers on site and items will sell much quicker, so be prepared.

9. Online shopping tips

-Have your debit/credit card out, many shops during sale time won’t save your items until you’ve paid, so make sure your cards out for a quick transaction- or for even faster payment use Paypal, as it saves all your details.

-Have access to good WiFi, sites may often be running slow with the large volume of customers on their site, so make sure your Ipad/computer is near fast good quality WiFi, for that faster loading time.

-Have the websites already open on separate tabs, This will allow you to flick quickly through the e-stores you’re wanting to shop from much faster then searching each store individually.

10. Don’t worry

If one of your favorite items is sold out before you’ve been able to get your hands on it, for whatever reason. Don’t panic, many stores start to receive stock back, about a week after their main sale day. As thats the time when customers begin to send their unwanted items back. This is often when you can find your favourite sale items at much cheaper costs, as some shops apply multiple discounts after their main sale date.

PARTY LIKE KENDALL JENNER…|2 min read|

Everybody has gossip about, and fallen head over heels in love with Kendal Jenner’s 21st birthday dress, its the ultimate silver party dress a complete knockout. Designed by LaBourjoisie, a bespoke dress covered in Swarovski crystals designed especially for Kendalls 21st, and attached to a $9,000  price tag. Even Kendal couldn’t deny her love for the dress. Taking on a similar Paris Hilton sass, with Hiltons 2002 New Year dress, but giving it the Kendal twist has turned the over priced over, crystalised dress into every girls dream…And I know where to find it, and it has a smaller price tag.

The small fashion label Pink Boutique, have designed a lookalike dress, practically identical. For a much smaller price tag of £75.00, and it comes in a choice of two sparkling colours silver or gold.  It has completely channeled Kendal’s Swarovski vibe, and given us a party dress from the magazines, into our over crammed wardrobes. The dress isn’t covered in Swarovski crystals, but it’s a stunning replica of Kendal’s glitzy gown. Perfect to either re-make Paris Hiltons New Year dress, or send Kendal spinning in a Swarovski vibe, a perfect fit for any party.

The ultimate Ugg Boot and where it’s hiding …

This is officially the weekend of Christmas shopping online, so I thought I would share some of my best finds for those tricky relatives…

Now almost everybody, well every girl wants a gorgeous funky pair of Ugg boots, True? Well don’t go rushing to the official store or scrolling through the MANY many pages in The Office website. Because they only have the classic regular Ugg Boot, and are still at expensive prices.

The Ultimate Ugg boot is hiding in Flannels…I know, But you just have to trust me on this one. It’s called the Aireheart boot, and is almost impossible to find, like anywhere! And come in either Black or Tan, but obviously the Black are my favourite…and the ones I’ve bought for my Mum this year. There retail at £165.00, but are on sale in Flannels for £135.00. Which is basically the same price as the regular boot !! Bargain.

Now for the guys in your life…Always up for a party and trying to be the cooler dude. Sorted, theses Waterproof practically unbreakable speakers, can be taken on a lads trip anywhere..loud enough for parties and robust enough for crazy adventures. Their RRP is £169.00, But fear not they are selling on eBay for a buy it now price of £85.00..and come in six attractive colours, even have a pink & red for any girls who want a party this Christmas too.

Now these go down really well with the boys, I’ve bought one for my Brother in black, as these are on most guys christmas lists…If they still do all that stuff.

The Shoes for your stocking…

I know fashion is taking a hit of sequins and metallic EVERYTHING, so take it down a notch, wear the classic items, just pair them with a little sequins or a shimmer of metallic, to push your outfit into this seasons party vibe. Like these gorgeous Marc Jacobs signature heel boots, perfect for a party and a shopping spree, with just the right amount of both heel and boot, to go with practically anything. These sequin chelsea Kim boots come in two daring colours,and are taking the fashion industry by storm.

I mean love metallics and are all for them, but never really wear much sequins, think because its a throw back to my Sharpay days with pink sequins every where. But now we can indulge in trending sequins, and I could almost die for a pair of these cute, cute! boots. Like how does someone even think this up, the absolute perfect combination of sequins and perfectness—Boots with the heel and the sparkle!

For me I would Defiantly pair these with a little black dress and a black faux fur jacket-maybe black feathered jacket. And a little bag with silver dangly earring’s just to finish the look off. Oooo and the finishing touch a gorgeous smoky eye look…Perfect !
