Stylish Sweats & Where to get them

As a uni student, spending most days reading in the library requires loungewear, but its increasingly difficult to find stylish sweats that aren’t boring! So I wanted to write this article to help those like myself find comfy sweats whilst maintaining that expensive styled look that Hailey Bieber constantly emulates!! (I know I’m a little gel at times).

For those lucky readers that have a little extra slush to play with these are the shops I would recommend for stylish and — oh so trendy street sweats these are the brands I would suggest:

  • Erys

Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 12.43.59

Erys is the merch website for Jaden Smith, and along with his music videos these sweats do not disappoint! Filled with vibrant colours, edgy slogans this is total streetwear for guys and girls alike. Worn by Jaden himself these aren’t too pricy for the celebrity name they come with, and unlike Beibers Drew House, Jadens Erys is much easier to get hold of – for now. But I predict in a year or two when he has reached the height of Beibers fame these too like Drew will be almost impossible to get your hands on.

Click here to check out Erys.

  • Drew House

Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 12.46.36Drew House for those of you who haven’t heard of it, is Justin Bieber’s fashion brand, featuring the hottest casual sweats and baggy jeans that are so street the Beckham boys are regularly seen wearing them. However, these although they aren’t too pricy, are incredibly hard to get hold of, so I would advice to join the mailing list if this style is calling you.

Click here to check out Drew House.

  • MKI MIYUKI ZOKU

Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 12.48.08

MKI MIYUKI ZOKU Was created by Vik Tailor, and since opening in the UK in 2010 it has achieved huge successes and is now one of the most desired clothing and sweater brands, due to the high quality of the product and trending street style.

Click here to check it out.

For those of you like me — Uni students who still lust for the nice bits but can quite afford the price tags just yet these are the brands I would suggest taking a sneaky peak at:

  • Collusion

Screen Shot 2020-02-18 at 13.10.58

Collusion is a recently new brand to hit the street but it has done so with extra passion and edge that even the likes of Drew House are needing to compete with. Their styles feature bold bright colours, edgy designs suitable for guys & girls with a price tag suitable for us all! So for those of you who would like to wear sweats like the Kardashians or Supermodels then you need to check out this brand, its styling is unreal.

Click here to check out their stock.

  • ASOS Design

Screen Shot 2020-02-26 at 10.37.48

ASOS Design is a brand within the clothing house ASOS, it features both male and female categories although I still shop in the guys sections because they have some seriously cool stuff too. ASOS Design has an epic sweats range tho, you need to search for this via the search bar tool, and you will not be disappointed, there are so many hidden gems its unbelievable, and at a mixture of prices too.

Click here to explore more of ASOS Design sweats.

Hope you enjoyed this little piece,

Lots of love Wiz X.

Clothing essentials for summer

Hello all, sorry I haven’t written in so long ;( I’m back now & I want to share with you my Fashion must haves and must nots for travelling !

MUST HAVES:

bb2 1. A little white dress

This is an essential summer must have if you are wanting to achieve that effortless European style whilst remaining cool in the sun. Also a perk of having a white dress or Playsuit is that it goes with anything, any shoes or bag which maximises out your outfit choices when traveling.

 2. A pair of relaxed denim shorts

When I say relaxed I mean loose and comfy, because on holiday its hot and there is nothing worse than having a pair of shorts that kind of fit in at home but are way to tight when your hot and well a little sun-creamy. Denim shorts are essential for summer when pulling off the relaxed chick beach bum look (its my fav)

Natalie-Joos-by-STYLEDUMONDE-Street-Style-Fashion-Photography_MG_6155 3. Platform sandals

These are defiantly my must haves and first in the bag each year! They are a total lifesaver when heels are a no no. Perfect for evenings or the day they are even sand proof – (well you can walk on the sand in them with as much difficulty as flip-flops 🙂 Plus they make your legs look gorgeous when in shorts or a dress !

Okay so those are my 3 essentials when it comes to packing, but there are also 3 key Do’s and Don’ts when it comes to traveling stylishly.

DO’S & DON’TS:

1. DO — Smooth out your clothes on the bed and carefully roll them when packing, don’t fold. This should prevent any major creases and when travelling it helps creates more space for that extra pair of shoes or bag!.

2.DONT — Take loads and loads of Bikini’s, two or three pairs is more than enough if you love them, and make sure one of them is black as your guaranteed it will survive the sun cream stains that white bikinis are prone to + they make your tan look better.

3.DO — Take moisturiseer on the plane with you, and try to avoid wearing makeup, as planes are prone to drying out and dehydrating your skin which can lead to spots! which is not wanted for our summer look. So make sure to take care of your skin when in the air.

Love Wiz X.

What I see in Fashion

I know I write a lot of clothing comparisons from luxury clothes to high street brands, so I wanted to do something a little different. ‘What I see in Fashion’ – (soz Brooklyn)

Shopping is any girls love affair, online or in store it’s the feeling, the power of being able to transform yourself into a magazine inspired world. Where one swipe of a card and you can walk away with Italian leather, or cashmere jumpers, so soft you can’t leave until your clutching the glossy bags in your hand. But once the warm glow of the stores are behind you, the vision disappears, and the vivid images of you taking on the world through your luxury purchase disintegrates. Into a overly priced bland jumper- soft, goodness yes. But visionary, no. To be Fashion, you must control the instincts of human comforts in clothing, you have to see fashion as a possession, a beautiful individual design that will make you, you. Its got to be a raw passion not a comfort blanket. That expresses your individuality, not uniformed fashion where your all pushed into dressing alike.

When you next open a magazine, be inspired by the beauty of fabrics and craftsmanship, take in the styles and bold expressions the catwalks create. So when your in the store where beauty is all around you, but not yet on you, your persuaded to remain safe and shop for your comfort zone, not your personality. The store should be viewed as the library of clothing, only in fashion books are always judged by the cover –

“To me, clothing is a form of self-expression – there are hints about who you are in what you wear.”

Fashions highest designer denim …

1. Gucci

gucci3gucci 2gucci 1

With Denim once again re gracing the store windows Fashions highest hot brands are re making the double denim look with daring textures and bold embroidery. Gucci has taken the rough denim look to a whole new fashion statement with contrasting metal studs against tropical stitching creating a stunning centre piece with its beauty hidden in the boldness. Gucci’s “calf hair-panneled embellished denim jacket” is high selling at £4,780 a piece in the major retailers of Net a Porter and mytheresa. Taking on a wild texture assault over denim and bombers.

2. Stella

stella 1stella 2stella 3

Taking a step down from the extravagance of Gucci’s denim Stella has mixed simplicity through her darker shades and vibrant embroidery, a calmer more versatile piece for your denim wardrobe. But keeping with fashions strong link to embroidery and textures this season, and retailing at £1,340 Stella’s over sized relaxed bomber is a must have for summer outfits, mixing relaxed with accessorised and creating the perfect balance.

But when paired with a unforgiving price tag, Gucci suddenly doest seem so friendly even if their look is stunning. So girls we expand into other designers such as Zara our all time favourite who have some gorgeous embellished jackets with prices that will love you back.

3. ZARA

af2af3artistic fashion

Another heart breaker is Zara’s artist impression embroiled jacket, with a large fabric design in detailed gold and black stitching, this unique and rare jacket, matches Gucci with a bold design. A true masterpiece this relaxed fit denim and belt will send any outfit onto another level. At £59.99 Zara jacket comes with a label that won’t bite your purse and will lift all outfits.

All my love…Dotwiz X.

2.

If your more of a modern polished girl, then you’ll love Zara’s new frayed fabric trainers. With more of a polished shimmer and edgy fray along the seam, they would make any pair of jeans look that extra bit designer. Pairing polished with punk for the desired outcome of high style, And two colour choices of bronze or navy. Zara has you covered for evening and afternoon style. So you can view this purchase as an investment for your toes !! And at only £19.99 they will be a true friendship for your wardrobe and purse.

4 hairstyles for rainy days…

4 Real easy hairstyles for those rainy afternoons…& How to turn a bad hair day into a natural (i’m not even trying) tumbler photo edit.

messy-pony-tail#1  The favourite messy pony tail, For those late morning panics, or get out of my face days. The messy pony tail is your latest BF. Just flip your head upside down, loosely gather your hair in one hand, Flip you head back up…Then loosen the top part of your hair by moving your hand slightly lower down your head. Tie it up with a cute scrunchy or bobble, securing however tightly you wish. Then to loosen your bangs gently run your hands through the top half of your head, and let them frame your face. Tadaaa your perfect bad hair day quickfix.

Just remember the beauty of this look is for it to be slightly messy… you don’t want a smooth head, so if your finding you cant quite get the messy casual look try straight away, try a little back combing through your bangs. It should do the trick!

messy-bun

#2 The classic messy bun, the most famous messy hair look for all girls and your partner in crime for any early morning coffee runs. To be worn high or low, Fat or thin, Messy or Messy… Simply flip your head over gather up your hair in one hand, use your fingers to run you hand through the roots to gather volume. Flip your head back over and tie it up like a pony tail, on the last pull through the bobble leave the hair half way through (so it looks like a floppy croissant) Then pull the hair around the front (now it should look like a donut) And tie another bobble around that. The faster you tie your bobble around your hair donut the messier it will be. Then if you want some loose bangs, just run your finger through the roots of your hair. And bam you’ve got yourself the most renowned messy bun out there…

up-knot-hair-style #3 The half knot, becoming more and more popular the half knot is a simple stylish look, if you just want your bangs out of your eyes…Or your sporting some killer lashes and you want the maximum impact! Simply run your fingers through the top half of your hair, gather up the strands, place however high or low you want the bun. And secure with a scrunchy. When securing you can either twist your hair so its in a long sausage then wrap it around you bobble and tie with another clip. Or you can gather up your strands and quickly pull the hair half way through each time you twist the bobble. Giving you a loose care free half knot, with a gorgeous messy effect. For whatever the occasion…I mean Kendal Jenner was even seen rocking this look fro the 2016 VS fashion show in paris, It really is a killer look.

double-bun

#4 The double bun (a modern princess Liea). A super cute messy look that truly frames your face beautifully. You can wear it as low as you want or as high as you want and still pull of the same OMFG effect. Start by dividing your hair into two. Then run your fingers through the hair to gather the loose strands and pull them on top of your head. Tie the hair up as if your putting it into a pony tail, Then gather up the ends of the hair and loosely wrap it around the bobble (use the bobble as a base to balance your bun, & if your struggling to secure the bun use some Bobbi pins as extra back up)  Then when your bun is secure run your fingers lightly through the top of your head, to create the slightly messy effect. Then just repeat on the other side until you have two gorgeous little messy buns. Now you are the true modern day princess!!

Hope you loved these looks as much as I do…Love Dotwiz X.

2017-New Year Fashion Resolutions

Wear less black

Iblack-fashion-2017t’s an easy colour to pair with and the though of your favourite black jeans is comforting, but 2017 is a time for stepping out of your comfort zone, and trying new colours. Maybe not crazy teacher jumpers with bright patches on. But defiantly khakis, mustards, creams and blues are all do able ! The tricky part of brightening up your wardrobe & why so many of us dread it, is that those hard manufactured colours make out faces seem blotchy or ghost grey, do we end up coating on the bronzer. So lets minus our black accessory to one item for each outfit…Thats not too bad.

No More Trainers

Processed with VSCOcam with a6 preset

I know this one is a killer, and that 2016 brought a wave of lux-sport onto the fashion streets…But girlies we can’t live in trainers, they can be our comfort shopping shoes but not our quick easy every day shoes. 2017 is the time where we should start spoiling our looks with those gorgeous melt in the mouth pumps, those studded biker boots and defiantly investing in some new glamorous heels. Because what are girls renowned for Loving shoes…Not trainer. So release your inner shoe diva this 2017.

Drop the Tomboy style

tomboy-style

No more hiding behind baggy jumpers and your old joggers. 2017 is the time for a new you, so go join a gym work on that inner Victorias Secret babe & treat yourself to some new skinny jeans, or little skirt. We can all play the cool glamour girl on the street, we just need to edge up our style and drop the Tomboy faze. Although you can always pull off a baggy jumper as long as you got some edgy trousers on radiating that effortless glamour look, that 2017 got us going crazy for.

I will stop buying evening outfits

evening-tops

Oh my goodness don’t we all love to stash up on those cute sheer evening outfits, well one of my hardest new year resolutions is to cute back…way back.

And take this GiGi Hadid advice into 2017…”keep your glam simple, my go-to is foundation, bronzer and mascara, and if i put too much on it goes drag real quick”

How to shop the sales like a Diva…

marc jacobs bags .jpg1.Research the shops

On the day of the sales, you most likely not have time to look around different shops, for the best price, so look online the night before so you know where the deals are. This will be more important if your after a particular designer piece as they are often in multiple outlets.

Sign up to your favorite shops mailing lists as they might include hints of whats going to be in the sale, & you will be  in the know of when the sales are coming first. Also create accounts for your favourite shops, so you can checkout online faster to place your order, as some more popular shops don’t save your items until you’ve payed for them.

2. Look through your wardrobe

This is very important for successful shopping, ask your self just two questions when clearing your wardrobe; What do I need ? & What do I want ?

This will make your investments have much greater use, as you will be buying what you lack. Meaning next week when you’ve spent all your money you don’t find yourself with 15 pairs of shoes and no tops.

3. Does it fit

Don’t fall into the category of buying something a size to big because you love it, Only buy what fits your body perfectly. (this doesn’t mean it has to be skin tight) Try on your favourite items before the sale season, to perfect your size and you will be much more likely to buy something in the sale that you love and wear all the time, Just make a note of the size and colour.

4. Only buy what you love

Its easy to see everything as a bargain when sales shopping, and make out that your actually saving money. Wrong. Sales shopping is when you’re more likely to buy because its on sale, rather than because you love it. Therefore even though the items are discounted, its not a bargain if your only going to wear it once. You have to love what you buy for it to be a bargain.

5. The question for every purchase

When your in a crowded store its easy to come out with lots of different items that don’t work together. And thats not successful shopping, it’s not how much you buy, but what it goes with. How many outfits you can create.

So before grabbing everything ask yourself…What 3 pieces of clothing would I wear it with, and is it my style?

 6. Up style

The sales are the perfect time to be able to buy items you would never normally buy, so use this time to but statement designer pieces that would add to your wardrobe.  You don’t want to just buy more of what you already have, so look for items which would update your wardrobe, sales isn’t a time for bulk buying. Use it to find unique designer discounts too, which are normally much more expensive.

7. Style it classic

Don’t buy the trends that are going out of style, during the sales you want to keep it simple and classic, to your style, so you will be able to wear it even when the trends change. Stick to your style, fashion can only look good if it fits into your style and body shape. You need to buy the items that add to you, not because it’s trending.

8. Don’t be late

Weather your online or instore, the most popular & most discounted will sell out very quickly. Faster online then instore, popular online items can sell out it the first 15 minuets of the sale launching. Large popular brands like Zara close their store a couple of hours before launching the sale to maximise the site capacity. This will mean there are more purchasers on site and items will sell much quicker, so be prepared.

9. Online shopping tips

-Have your debit/credit card out, many shops during sale time won’t save your items until you’ve paid, so make sure your cards out for a quick transaction- or for even faster payment use Paypal, as it saves all your details.

-Have access to good WiFi, sites may often be running slow with the large volume of customers on their site, so make sure your Ipad/computer is near fast good quality WiFi, for that faster loading time.

-Have the websites already open on separate tabs, This will allow you to flick quickly through the e-stores you’re wanting to shop from much faster then searching each store individually.

10. Don’t worry

If one of your favorite items is sold out before you’ve been able to get your hands on it, for whatever reason. Don’t panic, many stores start to receive stock back, about a week after their main sale day. As thats the time when customers begin to send their unwanted items back. This is often when you can find your favourite sale items at much cheaper costs, as some shops apply multiple discounts after their main sale date.

All my l0ve hope this helps…Dotwiz X.
